Hardware Development Engineer – Power Electronics

Your responsibilities include:

  • Develop cutting-edge hardware solutions for servo drive systems.
  • Design and optimize power supplies and servo inverters.
  • Create and refine PCB layouts to ensure robust and reliable designs.
  • Analyze complex tasks, develop solution concepts, and create product specifications.
  • Design, evaluate, and implement power electronic circuits and components.
  • Perform simulations to evaluate new circuit concepts and components.
  • Dimension power electronics components, considering thermal concepts and mechanical integration.
  • Develop, evaluate, and implement EMC concepts for compliance with guidelines.
  • Support product verification by defining tests and assessing results.
  • Prepare product-relevant documentation for development and production.

Qualification and Key requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • Proven expertise in hardware development for power electronics and electric drive technology.
  • Proficiency in circuit design and layout tools (e.g., Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro).
  • Experience with simulation tools (e.g., SPICE, Simplorer, PLECS, MATLAB/Simulink).
  • Strong knowledge of digital and analog circuit development, maintenance, and verification.
  • Familiarity with Functional Safety standards (IEC 61508 / ISO 13849) is a plus.
  • Analytical mindset for solving complex tasks.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills, especially in international teams.
  • Excellent English proficiency (spoken and written).
